Who provides Schedinary
Katleho Motseki, a South African sole proprietor trading as Schedinary, provides the booking software. Participating businesses are independently responsible for their services, premises, staff, prices and customer experience. Formal business and service-address details are supplied in a signed pilot agreement and may be requested by email.
Current pilot stage
Schedinary may be demonstrated and configured using fictional customer records. A business's real services, staff and operating information may be prepared before activation. Real customer details and live booking links may be enabled only after Schedinary and the business record the activation date, responsibilities and privacy checklist in writing.
Using the service
Users must provide accurate information, use Schedinary lawfully and protect secure booking-management links and owner access. A parent or guardian must make or authorise a booking for a person under 18. Nobody may use fictional testing as a reason to enter another person's real details without permission.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed only when Schedinary displays a successful confirmation. Availability can change while a request is submitted; the final server confirmation determines whether the slot was secured. Two confirmed appointments cannot overlap for the same staff member, while adjacent appointments may share an end and start time.
Customers may use their secure management link to cancel or reschedule, subject to the participating business's clearly disclosed cancellation, lateness and no-show rules. The business must make those rules available before relying on them.
Plans, invoices and payments
An approved business may start one 14-day free trial without a card. Starting the trial does not create an automatic charge. The intended Founding and Standard prices are displayed on the pilot plans page. A paid subscription begins only after the business chooses its plan and completes the disclosed payment or written activation process.
When a trial expires without an active paid subscription, Schedinary pauses new customer bookings. Existing confirmed appointments remain visible and customers keep access to cancellation, rescheduling and privacy controls. Business subscription payments may be completed through Paystack or recorded as manual EFT receipts. Paystack receives payment details directly; Schedinary stores the verified amount, reference, status and invoice, not card or online-banking credentials. Schedinary does not process customer appointment payments. A business can decline activation or cancel before the 14-day trial ends for R0. No paid plan or automatic charge begins merely because the trial ends. A paid plan begins only when the business chooses it and completes Paystack checkout or another disclosed payment process.
There is no cancellation fee. If a business cancels after a paid monthly period begins, the payment for that current period is not refunded and an invoice already issued remains payable unless Schedinary confirms a waiver or correction. Cancellation stops future monthly payments and pauses new customer bookings immediately. Existing confirmed bookings, invoices and payment records remain available where reasonably or legally necessary. Cancelling service is separate from requesting deletion of personal information through the privacy-request process. Nothing in this cancellation process removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Business responsibilities
- keep services, prices, staff, hours and contact details accurate;
- honour confirmed appointments or communicate changes promptly;
- publish clear cancellation, lateness and no-show rules;
- use customer information only for legitimate booking purposes;
- protect owner access and report suspected unauthorised access;
- cooperate with verified privacy, security and deletion requests;
- comply with applicable consumer, privacy and industry laws.
Communications
Transactional messages may be sent to confirm or manage an appointment requested by the customer. They are not marketing messages. Automated WhatsApp delivery may be unavailable during the pilot, in which case a tap-to-WhatsApp option may be offered. Marketing requires separate permission or another lawful ground.
Privacy
Personal information is handled under the Privacy Notice. Customers may request access, correction or deletion through the privacy-request form. Each activated business also signs data-processing terms allocating its responsibilities with Schedinary.
Acceptable use
Users may not submit false or abusive requests, impersonate another person, bypass security controls, scrape personal information, interfere with availability, reuse another customer's secure link or use Schedinary to break the law. Schedinary may restrict activity reasonably believed to threaten people, businesses or the service.
Availability and changes
The controlled pilot may change or pause while faults, security concerns or legal duties are addressed. Schedinary monitors material booking failures and will take reasonable steps to communicate a significant interruption. No online service can be guaranteed to be continuously available or error-free.
Ownership
Schedinary's software, branding and original platform content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Participating businesses remain responsible for information and content they provide and give Schedinary the limited permission needed to display and process it for the pilot.
Fair responsibility
Schedinary is responsible for operating the booking platform with reasonable care. Participating businesses remain responsible for the services they supply. Nothing in these terms excludes a right, remedy or responsibility that South African law does not allow the parties to exclude. These terms must be interpreted in fair, plain language rather than as a waiver of consumer or privacy rights.
Complaints and governing law
These terms are governed by South African law. A user should first send a clear description of the issue to Schedinary so that it can be investigated promptly. This does not prevent a person from approaching the Information Regulator, a consumer body or a court with jurisdiction.
